DEADLINE FOR FREEDOM DAYS PARADE ENTRIES

Full Description:

“June 15th is the deadline for parade entries for Oceanside’s 11th annual Freedom Days Parade. If your school, business, church, civic or fraternal organization has already sent their application in – we thank you – but those who want to be in this year’s parade must apply as soon as possible to make the June 15th cut off date”, announced Parade Chair Maureen Hartin.

The parade will take place on Saturday, July 3rd, at 10:00 a.m. It begins at Wisconsin Ave. and Coast Highway and proceeds downtown to the Civic Center Plaza. The theme for this year’s parade is “Home Sweet Home”.

“We are encouraging folks to come home to downtown Oceanside for all of the July 4th festivities but you do not have to work or live in Oceanside to enter the parade. We want to motivate all of North County to come to Oceanside and enjoy our parade,” stated Hartin.

The other July 4th activities include a carnival overlooking the Pacific Ocean, July 2-4, O’fest Street fair with craft and food booths, July 3 and 4th, and a fireworks display at 9:00 p.m. on July 4th.
